Reorienting Teacher Education to Address Sustainability

The articles of JTET (Journal of Teacher Education and Training) embrace a wide range of topics and research methodologies and encourage contributions from local scholars. The authors attempted to introduce the ideas of ESD and SD in such topics as teacher pre-service/in-service education, teacher professional development included subject didactics, curriculum issues, teachers’ views and attitudes toward environmental education, ESD, SD, organizational management, and psychological aspects of teaching. JTET and the network it creates can be viewed as an integral developmental framework allowing participants to embrace all possible approached to encourage sustainable university and faculty development, providing a global context as well as connections with individual needs.
