Add S.O.S (Adding to the Planet Sustainable Permeable Surface)
Thanks to this project students of CEU high school of Professional Studies will use all vertical and horizontal surfaces, such as floors, façades, or roofs which allow the transformation into permeable surfaces. The objective is to rescue essential ecosystems through sustainable use of floor and soil, both in rural and urban zones, avoiding the called “Heat Islands”. The tasks youths will have to implement are the creation of posters, scientific articles, literary and journalistic relates, and presentations about the progress of the project and its results. Three are the factors that support the project: promotion of consciousness and respect for the environments, research of good practices in doing so, and proof to students that everybody is able to contribute. With the 2030 agenda calling for a commitment to drive targeted action, this small-scale project can be a major step forward and raise awareness for future action. Beyond the results, there will be the impact footprint it can generate.
